Love’s Anjelic Orchid

Orchid is a very sweet girl. Zarah can walk right up to her and put her arms around Orchid’s neck. She is also a chow hound that loves to beg for grain. Her fleece closely resembles that of her 1/2 brother Gabriel who took a 2nd place in a Denver show as a yearling white male. My daughter Zarah halter trained Orchid and she walks very nicely on a lead. All alpacas want to be in the company of other pacas but Orchid is particularly sensitive about always having a buddy with her. Orchid is a good sized girl.

To date we have not successfully bred Orchid. A vet’s examination has revealed that she has a small blind alley in her vagina that may have been part of the cause and she also moved into a non-receptive hormonal state and some point and stayed there. With the magic of drugs, we have forced her to cycle and we will try again to breeding her in the spring 2012.
